There are two signals, IGF and IGT. IGT is the ECU telling the ignitor to fire, IGF is the ignitor telling the ECU that it fired.
You shouldn't need the IGF signal on a standalone unless it's looking for it.
yeah, the resonant frequency is the frequency at which the car tends to vibrate. You're going to have a huge peak in response around this number.
If you tune a port to this frequency, you get TONS of output at that frequency. However, don't expect it to sound good, or be loud anywhere else...
A little EQing can help TONS. Then add in some time alignment to the mix, and the OP will be amazed.
I prefer to spend my money on processing and deadening rather than speakers.
I agree. The tweeters are WAY to harsh for most people in the kappa component sets. Unless you're mounting the tweeters way off-axis, and behind a thick grille, it might be a little much.
That's what I was thinking, by the area of that port, it's in the 40s, unless the port's wrapped around, taking up like half the box.
BTW, my tests have found the Supra has a resonant frequency of 44-45hz, if anyone is curious.
Your rear speakers.
If you're looking to build a system that sounds nice, not just "loud", ditch everything in the back (well, aside from a sub of course). All that the rear speakers are going to do is pull your sound stage back.
A lot of people say they want the sound to "surround" them, and...
if they fit in a MKII, and the celica then yes, they're 4x4.5 bolt pattern (4x114.3 for those metric types)
A little bit of play is normal in the belt. Too much, and it starts clacking around. If you really want to be concerned about it, There's an online TSRM for the 22R trucks somewhere...
The dump tube on my HKS 50mm wastegate fell off unexpectedly, as all four of the bolts loostened up and fell out on a 900km highway journey.
Anyone know the thread sizes so I can order new ones?
There's a local guy that did just that swap, put a starlet motor into his tercel.
As for the Celicas, if you want to be REALLY creative, there's a guy on toymods, with a car he likes to call a Celica GT-Eight. It's a twin turbo 1UZ powered ST185.
