Im running a T4 setup with a 4" piping to the stock airbox using a stock airfilter. After market air filters make aftermarket air filter companies money... other than that.. they don't do much.. lol.
(and just to quantify incase someone wants to argue (which I don't) this is my opinion)
Hope...
Speeding tickets and lawyer fees are usually lifestyle choices.. lol. Buy a radar detector.. I just bought the new Escort Passmax and gave my wife the 9500ix. (of course.. its legal where I live)
Motor can be sold.. but if you add up the parts for building one properly.. you can take advantage of someone who just needs cash and save yourself a ton.. IF YOU BUY a known good build... (that's key)
Bolt pattern for AFM, not sure what you mean... It has 4 holes already for the adapter doesn't it? Your not bolting it directly to the turbo...
7ms do not use a MAF, the AFM is different.
4" piping from AFM to turbo isn't going to benefit you... if you have a big enough turbo to have a 4"...
Compression test and cylinder leakdown test.
Quite frankly, if my engine was out of the car I would be doing it right and putting a MHG on it simply because, when done properly, it's one less issue... No bhg issue or worries.
Cheapest and easiest to do at this point.
Will have dyno sheets. Hopefully next week. I paid for expedited shipping but that doesn't normally work for US to Canada...
If it does, turbo will be here by Thurs.
Damn! What's really cool is most of us have an emotional attachment to our A70's... so a meet like that would be a whole family of like minded people. Would be excellent to see.
The one car I want to get (originally was the one I was hunting for when I got my mkiii) is a Supra mkii. Those are getting near impossible to find in proper condition without requiring a full resto.
I keep my eyes peeked though.. But it's hard because I don't want it to restore... I want it to...
Re:
Aftermarket 7m is virtually non-existent???
I disagree, I found parts quite easily. However, there are some parts that are extremely expensive. These usually have very low failure rates and are for the factory ecu functions (going by what I have run across... But there are similar sensors...
"Just got her back from the shop... Didn't realise they expired..."
Totally believable.
My car is a couple months away from a full year sitting in a shop.. Lol. I put 2015 tags on it so I wouldn't forget.
If there was a way to delete the speedo cable that would be a good thing IMO.
I like how my dodge ram was capable of being electronically setup for a speedo correction when I put on 20" wheels. Wish I could do that to my Supra... Lol
I think that's a good low price (in my estimation), however.. I'm not sure about the market/availability in your area. I find that most Supra owners undervalue their cars and are really impatient. Most don't think their car is worth anything which confuses the hell out of me. The engine + trany...
