I like the EVC-S. Lots of control once you figure it out to fine tune how your boost comes on. Plus having the option for no boost control along with an A and B preset is nice.

Yeah, normally (depending on your altitude) you could go up to 11-12 psi before fuel cut.. but I found that at 11 psi, I was sputtering at about 5000 rpm with my 87 setup like yours with just a shimmed wastegate.
