I just looked that part up in the TSRM EPC (89462-40010). :yikes: The cold start injector time switch needs replacing. I'll be going to a Auto Recycler to replace it tho... It needs replacing, cuz the alternator belt that shredded, took out that switch. :nono:

An update: The mechanic discovered the issue... The Alternator bracket spacer was 9/32 too long. They machined that off and all the pulleys are aligned. So, the alternator relocation bracket was new from Beech Performance; it worked well for a year and now it's shredding alt belts. He showed me...

I too thought the pulleys were not aligned; when it happened. It has just started doing this. The pulley set and alternator relocation bracket have been used for more than a year without this problem. This morning, in the light of day, the shop's mechanic pushed on the alternator and it flexed...

Anyone have a good idea why the 7M is shredding the Alternator belt? I thought it was due to a loose alternator belt, but I found it tight. The engine is using the following mods, ATI damper, Beech Performance T6 Alumimum pulley set and Beech Performance Alternator relocation bracket...

Yes, I put about 60 miles a day in the seat, (M-F) and it's still a joy to drive. As the weather gets colder and freezing/snowing, I'll likely be driving the VW Golf. Van

Ahh... Thanks, Grim. Yes, the lower trim bolts looked good, no rust there but plenty around that seperation around the joint where the rails and the bottom deck are welded together. I'm now ready to have the hatch window resealed, w/ new trim. I'm getting resistance from local window...

Oh man... I forgot to add that there is no wing, body is an 87 hardtop, and the grommet around the rear wiper arm, isn't leaking. Van

Old Fatty has a leak in the hatch. I replaced the hatch seal, but to no avail! I notice water dripping out where the hatch window frame is welded to the hatch deck, and there is rust in that joint. My plans are to keep the car for a long time... Any suggestions are appreciated. Van
