    89 and before, supposedly there were about 6 different key patterns, so i've been told. fortunately no one in my local group has a key that will start my car and vice versa.

    turn off boost controller and see what happens. i'm willing to bet it's an i/c hose and if you have some stock ones left, check the one that connects to the turbo, it is infamous for splitting.

    air leak, check your intake gaskets. you can have someone try to keep it running at a constant rpm while you spray something like carb cleaner on the gaskets and notice high rpm's if it leaks or make a leak tester
