this is completely normal with a six puck clutch...
a clutch works off pressure, Pressure=Force/Area, so since a six puck has less area for engagement, the pressure gets larger with a the same force (your engines torque output) making you suddenly apply more pressure than you are used to

i dont think its a leak, im still spooling to 8psi as fast as normal, plus its stays up there where it didnt before and if i really goose it, itll move up to 10psi
i have the same thing that just started happening to me today when i installed full hard-pipes from TB to intercooler...im am running the stock BPV though, and only happens when i hit 8psi on most of the pulls i have done since noticing it...
my opinion is its either the whine of death...
open downpipe can still be bad, i ran it on my car for a few weeks....just dont sit at idle too long or those fumes will get to you lol

im just gonna point something out here (correct me if im wrong OP)....you were running fuel and air mods with a lot more additional boost than normal without any form of tuning or wideband to watch what you were doing? lucky it was only one piston and not everything in your engine IMHO
