sorry i can't help you out but maybe you could help with my next Q when my ign switch is off the light on the fcon is on... when i switched ign to on position the light turns off is this because i haven't got the ecu earthed?

go sniff it ;) check your oil level, has it changed? generally i check a turbo by revving it and holding it at bout 2k rpm then dropping the throttle... if she smokes then it's turbo seals

sounds like a leak from maybe the flange on the turbo or downpipe? friend of mine had massive death whine noises too and it turned out it was his flange on the inake manifold wasn't making a good seal so it would squeal it's bum off edit: oh haha.. just read your last sentence... bingo :)

as for the glowing turbo have you checked to make sure your oil feed & return lines aren't blocked?

if i recall the bolts are about the same length as the ones for the throttle body, so longer than normal 12mm bolts and there will be 3 that are identical.. not many that same size have fun looking (sorry i don't got pics lol)

i had acl bearings as well.... put bout 20k miles on them and they were still perfect when they came out :) acl here is an extremely common brand and what most use
