See, I'm not crazy! You're not running the stock oiling system either. :biglaugh:
The last 7m we built we put a 5mm shim in the pump and it worked well, the oil pressure raised about 10psi from normal iirc.
Excessive bearing wear, resulting in rod knock. Toyota must have recognized something was wrong, because the jz engines make around 40psi at idle, not 7psi.
Yes, and it would still function like stock, but possibly a little more pressure under heavy load (boost) would be a good thing...
I was talking about 7m oil pumps and oil pressure yesterday with Andy, we both think the oiling system on the 7m could be improved. We were throwing ideas around and talking about how shimming the oil pump seems to give different results on different engines. I thought maybe an external...
Because the timing cover gasket doesn't make a good seal when the end is butted up against the hg, and oil will seep out of there. It only takes a little bit of sealat.
Sumitomo HTR-ZII (their "best" tire) were absolutely the worst set of tires I have ever purchased. I got them cheap when I got my WRX several years ago, and I had tread separation on both front tires at under 20k miles. They had terrible grip, and punctured rediculously easily. I had 1 or 2...
The 5m block is at the recycling plant in the scrap metal pile :biglaugh:
I wish I had more done on this engine, but Castillo's has been telling me every day for the past three weeks that "it will be done tomorrow, call me around 9:00am tomorrow". I dropped off the crank in January and was...
Please don't think I'm mad at you for buying them, it's Imoprt "ENGINE BLOWOUT" Sales that I have a problem with. Since several people have already tested them as being bad brand new, maybe you should just try to get a refund instead of paying more to get them flow tested :dunno:
Those are the same ones that blew up our engine, I wouldn't put those in my car if they were free and you paid me $500 to install them.
You didn't see my post? Import Blowout Sales on EBAY is a scammer!!!
Yeah, the flow sheet was missing...... yeah right, they were tested :bsflag:
It's hard not to be vague when talking about a possible engine swap wiring problem. I've seen so many engine swap wiring mistakes that I woudn't know where to tell you to look. :biglaugh: If it were me I would get out the electrical diagram tsrm and a digital volt/ohm meter and verify all the...
