actually it's to tell the transmission's throttle valve how much the engine's throttle is being opened so that it can adjust line pressure to each of the valves in the transmission to open and close a certain amount so that each shift can happen and so for shift strength to be modulated :)

If the 7M-GTE uses low impedance injectors with an injector resistor box to effectively raise the resistance of the injector's power circuit, would it be possible to run high impedance injectors on a 7M-GTE and disconnect the resistor box?
