I had rattles everywhere from driving w/ next to no exhaust, some exhaust, and racing exhaust... all that inline six noise shook my car apart... it was totaled in a 5 lane intersection I mistook for a 4 lane (not being able to see the 5th) and a car t-boned me out of a blindspot basically...
I'd actually prefer a stock one to all of what I've seen... I'd prefer something round or something with a smooth contour, no sharp angles.... oh I also thought the supra wraparound was cool :naughty: (the way you see it on the MKIII NOT the MKIV)
i don't think it's the block that's the big deal, it's just getting all your connectors working... all that involves is yanking some sensors off the 91 block... you'll see ;) it was sortof a PITA, but it wasn't really that bad... just some old, stubborn parts that's all...
yeah you gotta watch it with these things... you can easily rattle your car apart if you don't watch it (interior)
I've driven a old chevy pickup w/ a 454 that got 7mpg O_o my supra got 30 on the highway... I've heard of them getting better though...
O_o incredibly nice... I don't even want to know (of course I do) where you found all those parts o_o I came very close to getting a white/black gt-s hatch... but I'll be getting my 5th a70 supra here shortly
at first i had made the 89 engine run on 87 electronics (with help from my buddy CJ) WHAT A PITA... my 87 harness was in bad shape (throwing 5+ codes), so I swapped back to 89 ecu and engine harness... it wasn't very difficult once you wrote down the color codes and what they all meant...
on a scale of 1-10.... 4.5 you just need to look up the color codes for your wires, remove wires+pins from your plugs and re-arrange as needed
ok, to clarify... I did the reverse of your swap... (89 engine into 87) but all you need to focus on is the body harness.... shouldn't be more...
not bad how'd it turn out? much dust in the paint? (or any at all?)
I figured if I got down to doing this I'd try and wet down the walls at least, be good to have vacuum and filtration... but I havn't quite laid that out in my head
you're going to need to do this wire by wire... factory wiring layout seemed to change almost every singe year.... however wire color coding is pretty straightforward....
