but adding to my dumbass of the year award seems i get it double time LOL seems my shift lever is out of alignment to the tranny, altho it might be in park with the lever... it's showing on my dash as reverse so there's my solution to code 51 heh but that doesn't solve my wiring issues...

so my diagnostics tell me that there is an open or short circuit to ect and abs, now i checked the abs and continuity is perfect.... it's lying!!!!! sooooooo... how do i resolve that one????

would these two codes be normal if the tps wasn't attached to the throttle body? i have a ffi with a 1uz throttle body and have yet to get another wing section put inside the tb for the tps to mount against, so it bolts up but isn't sitting on that wing, just free spin basically i was just...

OMG... i deserve the dumbass of the year award! it actually pays to turn the key to ign for diagnostics LOL so i got code 24 (no afm that's fine) code 41 and 51 (tps hmm, it's not hooked into the throttle body properly but as long as the wires are connected it should be all good right...

so i've tried various combinations... hold set & m at the same time hold set then m and held for longer than 4 secs but still doesn't switch to diag only displays error *sniff sniff* i guess i'll be chasing the T wire tomorrow making sure it's on the right wire

so i've almost finished the install of the super monitor and found the mounting is a bit low so you have to lean up to see it... that i can fix hehe but when i try to do diagnostics it just comes up error.. any ideas? thanks :D

ahh.. well... i'm gonna go on a hunch and wire it up anyhow LOL we'll see if it works... not sure what it needs auto information for.. i guess that adds in to gas mileage? maybe diagnostic codes? i've got most of it done, just the ign feeds behind the kickpanel to do and the big test drive...

all the 7m's here i know of have that little burble/bap at idle, i've given up trying to get rid of it lol

Jeff: are you able to run the p/n's on the sm ecus and see if they are indeed different? on gte 5 sp and gte auto i should think it would work being all the pins are there just not in the plug thanks :)

oh that was lucky... hmm might get me some and i gotta have gauges that beep n what not! ;) hehe

i got a sm from a turbo 5sp but i want to wire in the auto side... the sm ecu itself has the pins but the plug doesn't... can i just put the wires in the plug and wire it up? are auto & 5sp ecu's different or just missing pins in the plug? tia :)

one other thing tho... i like my ride height at 2"/50mm drop, will the SS go that low or only the Flex?

bigaaron: the ss price on your site is excellent!! along with the Flex are you able to price up what it would cost to send to Auckland 0602, New Zealand as that would then decide what i do whether it's buy here or from you. I have an obsession with tems like features so i would eventually...

the main thing also is that we can't get megan or ksport etc over here... and everyone that sells them there refuses to send via usps will only do fedex and for me that is unacceptable... example, need an fcon chip, costs $50odd bucks cool.. oh but wait shipping is also $50... that's rediculous...
