To 2JZ or not to 2JZ

^ that's pretty much the reason most folks did it.. for me, it was the fact that it was a motor that was available in the chassis elsewhere (semi-purist/basically bolt-in aside from wiring, etc), and it was quite a bit cheaper. I'm also happy in an odd sense though because 2J cars are showing...

    need speacialist

you nailed it right on the head.. I couldn't have said it any better. even if they aren't flaky, there always ends up being parts that you are missing/have the wrong one that prevents you from moving to the next few steps. now, the exception I suppose would be if you've done a certain swap so...

    need speacialist

yeah, the shop I used to work at stopped doing them unless the customer buys a pnp harness and has all the parts before coming in.. the profit/time spent on them is otherwise not worth it according to my friend (owner). then again, he didn't wanna raise his prices to offset that, so that's part...

lol @ that v160 knob basically ripping off Top Secret and just adding a different sticker..

    Eliminating body trim

this will never look right.. it's just too integral to the design, and the cars body lines are too sharp for it to look good. that aside, the door is really what makes it super out of place, the front and rear fender areas don't bother me too much.

    Stock 906 rwhp 1jz skyline

Kirk's JZA80 took a beating regularly for years, and he's been at 941rwhp for a while now (stock bottom end and head aside from HKS 272s, springs, and retainers).. now, that is a 2J, but the point is that it can and has been done quite a few times, even on motors that have seen a decent amount...

why I will always keep my car 7m

to quote myself (I normally wouldn't): it doesn't get much more prevalent than that.. it was the main workhorse turbo motor for years and years.

    Going E85

    66mm, hence the 366 designation http://www.theboostlab.com/store/products/S300SX3%252d66-.91-A%7B47%7DR-%2890-Compressor-Outlet%29.html

    Going E85

that's slightly past the S362 FMW and S363 efficiency range, so it would probably be down to the S366 (billet or non) to tow that mark..

    Best Source for Subframe Bushings?

Interesting.. I am aware of the disparity in price on other bushings as I have bought both OE and ES, just wasn't sure about the subframe ones. If that's true, then perhaps something or someone should change that.

How To Plasti Dip a Supra (VIDEO)

Even wraps from what I've seen can be 'interesting' if they don't use the right types... (Di-Noc is the one I read about in particular)

    Best Source for Subframe Bushings?

It's definitely expensive, but were the OE ones (when still available) any cheaper I wonder? I would guess not, but I have no idea.
