i don't ever intend on getting stupid racing seats lol i wuv my 35odd kg seats haha
so you have up/down rear and up/down front on the "ass" section lol?
reason i ask is i was looking at the epc and i can't see the other shaft which controls the rear up/down but i could see 3 motors, so it...
I see you have option of manual or elect, was the elec seats just optional and standard bodies come with manual?
Also with your elec seats, what directions does the bottom do (no recline info needed) i.e forward, back etc
did you really need to ask that
of course new rings, i have no blowby that i know of but it's probably done 1.5miles total lol
i'll take it for a run on wednesday to get a warrant then at least i won't get pink stinkered by the boys in blue quickly hehe
edit: actually i just...
haha ha oops
looks like heat was getting to my vacuum line and started melting it closed, have replaced that section of hose and now vacuum is about 16-17in hg which i suspect is just due to me not setting my ign timing yet, from the sound of it, it sounds like it's a bit retarded as idle...
i have the fcon running fairly successfully in my car but one thing i was curious about:
my vacuum is only -10inhg to -15inhg yet the car idles particularly well. Is this because the fcon uses a map sensor off the manifold so it's compensating for it?
I don't hear any gushing noises in the...
hmmm you've never seen our driveway pics have ya :-p
we're quite well known in the mk3 world here in nz and the local parts supplier lol, i changed the booster, bled again and now i have brakes wooohooo hehe
btw love your avatar lol
nope she appears all good
i left the cold start temp sender connected and that was making the idle a bit worse so i disconnected it and now idle from cold is better more stable.
I've gotten code 42 but the ect isn't complaining about any speed sensors being faulty so i think where i tapped...
well i know my lungs don't near count towards engine vacuum lol but i can blow through the valve but not suck through it so i guess it's not leaking
if the booster doesn't fix it i will replace that next anyhow :)
thanks ;)
thanks for the suggestion but i already replaced the master cylinder and i had absolutely no change whatsoever.
I do find it suspicious that i have funny fluidy squishy sounds in my booster tho
i bled those lines ALOT and it's all straight fluid, no air at all.
When i pulled off the vacuum line to the booster there was a huge pshhhhhhhh so that suggests it's holding vacuum.
When the car is off i push on the pedal and hold it and the pedal doesn't go down so that suggests no leaks...
quite some time
i bled the master, then abs, then wheels when off i have awesome pedal
i start it, and then the pedal loses all pressure and just floats off down to the floor
When the car is off the pedal is awesome, right up and no air.
As soon as it start the car the pedal goes to the floor.
Anyone had this? How do i fix, i really wanna drive my car today :D
but with brakes haha
i was gonna do it on the street in 2nd and do varying rpm (good engine braking too being in 2nd) then once its done i'll do my usual run in.
I'm the easy break in, always had awesome compression with that style :)
i'm going to be running in my rings on jackstands as it's easier than dealing with traffic on the roads.
Would it be better to run in with no load or to have some load i.e handbrake slightly on or something?
thanks :D
