There are tons of threads on the auto to manual swap. Just use the search feature and you will get a wealth of info.
I don't think you can actually adjust anything with that. If you have a lot of movement you probably would want to replace the mount. I don't know if there is a poly replacement but even a new factory piece is much better than an old, gummy, and falling apart one.
The W58 will bolt up and having a complete parts car will make the swap a lot easier. There is a ton of info on auto/manual swaps here and SF. I would want to get an R154 parts car if I had to do the swap but the W58 is right there....
Man, you guys need to learn how to read...lol He has a...
A few pics. I should have taken a lot more. The red one was a pristine '91 with basic mods and the owners were totally cool and it was their first meet.
Yeah, that was a killer meet. I was at the Vegas dyno day/drags and this was definitely better. Lot's of cool conversations and laughs. I'm starting to put SNs to faces....I was trying to figure out why a lot of you looked familiar but I couldn't quite nail down where I met you before. One...
I honestly wish I could help, Ian. Of course I can't, which is why I'm bumping your thread. ;)
This is like learning second hand that the earth is round. :slap:
J/K dude. :D
Worn valve stem seals.

So true.
Nash,
Do what you feel you should. It is just a car (I know, Blasphemy!). I run into this conundrum all the time with my Supra. I've never earned enough money to do what I want with it but I've dragged it from OKC to SoCal to NW Washington (18 NM south of Victoria) to...
Plywood + audible frequency transducer enclosures = :umno:
Medium Density Fiberboard = :naughty:
I'm a fan of JL Audio and I have a 10w0 that I bought 6 years ago. A small high quality enclosure(built by me), of .750" MDF is pending. Other brands involved: Alpine, Phoenix Gold, and Boston...
I got lucky with my used JDM. I drove the shit out of it (even hit 20psi with stock fuel/afm/ct26 one night) and never had any issues on the road. When I tore it apart it was on the verge of a major BHG and showed obvious signs of running lean on 4 out of six cylinders. The only thing that...
There are a lot of things that could be making that noise:
There could be something wrong with your clutch assembly like the throwout bearing, clutch disc backward, pilot bearing installed misaligned, a shim or c-clip issue, or even just a loose belt. Where is the noise coming from? Did you...
