I've seen them crack bad around the flange. Not saying all but for the one I've seen first hand and then many others I've heard about. Just makes me think differently on weld strength.

finally pics, took me driving over to DBNs house to do it. the muffler section looks like that so I dont lose parts.. i dont have a pic of 7 ft of 3.5 pipe that i'll be using but the reducer is in the pic the look through the muffler and a flea bay digi volt meter gauge. why not...

Just cuz it was rebuilt that means nothing. You know, who did the work and was it good. Sounds like sourcing a new trans maybe.
