Basically wanna ground the wire to make it jump on gauge. It should peg out tho instead of flicker... It's been a long whilesince I had to do it. Sensors are dirt cheap.

Hose clamps on thermo housing, it's ftw. LOL, a old mk3 was running like that, that and a Sheetrock screw to help hold the housing together.

Check those studs, might be time to upgrade if you haven't already. The brace is there for a reason. Also a flex pipe at some point on the dp helps reduce strain on ex mani studs.
