does anybody know which wires control the fuel pump from the main harness near the engine bay? are they near the fusebox? i traced the fuel pump relay wiring back to the fusebox but i cant tell which may be the exact problem. which wires should i check? the problem probably lies there.

no the 1jz a342e isnt the same as a 2jz a340e. its not a direct swap, however it will bolt up

i wouldnt, the higher miles of it and the slight differences might play hell with a soarer ecu, seriously get a spare cluster and see about a electronic speedo, less work then swapping out trannies.

yes, just swap in an aftermarket electronic speedo, or a mark 4 one. im assuming on your engine set it was from either a TT limited or from a Soarer? your easiest bet would be to just swap in an electronic speedo, eliminates the somewhat unrealiable cable.
