Nice underbody!
That front strut brace back to the firewall has what looks like a production sticker on it with PN# and Toyota something..something cant read it.
Looks to be in German.
Was that an aftermarket part that was available?
I provide a spec sheet to record what each of the diffs I rebuild are set to internally.
LSD and R&P Backlash, pinion and carrier preload, bolt torque, breakaway torque, ect..
Huge amount of new part cost goes into each, as well as labor to get perfect.
I will be posting up 2 more built differentials for sale soon.
Another 3.91 I will have done within a couple weeks.
The other I will have finished after this one.
FYI if anyone is looking to pick one up soon.
Off the top of my head:
Lotus Evora
or
Lancia Stratos
Though I doubt Stoschek will ever really make a new Stratos in any sort of production volume, it would be awesome if it was though.
There was a time...probably 10 years ago when Albert was performing this work I believe.

Have you backprobed the alternator connector and checked all 3 of those pins per the tsrm?
My bet is the vehicle side wiring is the issue, not the alternator.
Have you followed the TSRM for the charging system yet?

Yeah that's what I do for 98% of the rebuilds I perform.
There are 2 steps up available from that stage 1, but if you want no chatter stay with stage 1.
Good to break in the diff with conventional gear oil (Ford) and the friction modifier.
Do a drain and refill after ~500 to 1000 miles, you can...
Yup understood.
Thanks for the good clarification.
Agreed, they seem to be slowly appreciating now.
Will be interesting to see where prices go in another 10 years.
