I'm pretty sure that is a sensor for the AC only, and shouldn't have anything to do with the ECU I believe.

Haha I meant it was for sale for 49k a few years ago, new that Supra probably sold for somewhere around $30k give or take a few thousand.

OP, I wish you the best of luck on the swap. Too bad you didn't run an OE headgasket though, then the car could still be enjoyed while being built. She's still pretty though and is in good hands. I'm looking forward to more updates. Couldn't agree more. The 7M gets a bad rap for reasons like this.

It might be the latch, or I've heard people say before that replacing the hatch seal helped with their noisy hatch.

Ah, gotcha. I didn't know the one that got hit was red too. I'm glad that rust is virtually non existent down here... I'd love to see some pics once you get the new one all cleaned up though!

I'd say red, black, silver, or gunmetal. I don't think red would look funny on a red car at all. I think red calipers look good on just about any car. You have any pictures of your new Supra since your blue one got hit? I haven't seen the new one yet.

I'm pretty sure when I got into Supras about 4.5 years ago that same car was priced at 49k. They definitely raised the price, but at that price they're never going to find a buyer and I hope it stays that way honestly. I like that the car is brand new and I'd be afraid that if someone buys it...

Wow, she cleaned up pretty well. It's amazing what a little cleaning will do for a car. Not that it matters, but I'm not to big of a fan of that body kit. I'd probably sell that and pick up a stock bumper etc, you might even make a little cash... Good luck with it and let us know your plans for...

Go test drive one. You may find that you don't fit, hate the interior, love the interior, fit like a glove, etc. Start there and that should help your decision greatly.

Nice! Personally I think I would leave that motor in the MK4 and find another 2J for your MK3 if you want to go that way, but I have no idea how the emissions and all that stuff in California works haha. I could throw any motor in my 87 Supra and not ever get in any sort of trouble, we don't...

Well I just bought a brand new Sony a3000 on ebay for a good price I think. It's a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, so somewhere between a point and shoot and a true DSLR. It has the same sensor that Sony puts in their DSLR cameras. I think it will be a good start for me to see if I want...
