    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Final tune done... got my "safe" tune. Any higher and I risk problems. Happy with this power level. Definitely have to get new rubber though as my Yokohama's don't hold well enough. We could go higher, but on 91 Octane (which is arguably 91, could be lower) if I run with higher boost I start...

    7mge problems, need help

Checking codes is quick and easy. You have to start there. Changing things prior won't help until you do that first step.

    Sheedy Built Supra

My only concern with water/meth is that it's not controlled unless you have a single injector per cylinder. Plus from my limited understanding, it's not necessarily a safe option to obtain that extra knock resistance as opposed to higher octane. Other than that, sounds like a blast. Good...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Yeah, initially I was thinking, "excellent... Another botched part... How much is this going to cost me?". So the response was very appreciated. No dickering, I didn't ask for anything. Just told him what the problem was and it's a done deal. All my other issues have cost me at least 2000+, with...

    Project 88 MKIII - A Calgary build

Car is FINALLY in for final tune...strapped to the dyno for a Monday tune so should have a dyno sheet soon. On a DIFFERENT note... Jack Transmission rebuilt my transmission and it's worse than prior to sending it. Plus it falls out of fifth gear. That's not the kicker... This is... After...

    The Small Questions Thread

I am no expert but if it's running above 15.4'ish at idle ibthink there is a risk of damage. Not sure though and it also depends on the accuracy of the wideband. I had a AEM UEGO Wideband and compared to the innovate wideband it's not very accurate at all. I got wonky readings at idle with it...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Can't see a spec 2+ clutch slipping at that power range Doat. Mine holds well at 400+ rwhp currently. Of course I hated the chatter of the 6puck which is why I went with the stock clutch.

What hp are you running? I have the spec 2+ clutch and stock clutch disc (swapped out their 6puck) I'm thinking my car may reach over 500 lbs of torque on tune next week and pretty sure the spec 2+ isn't going to hold. Looking for options other than a twin disc.

I replace the lines at that point. I think I still have a spare SS ONE :)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Normally it's moisture in the lines that turns it black. My lines were pretty funky... I replaced them. (Not the hard line though)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Should replace the master (and slave) and then pump fluid through the hoses until it comes out clean. If it turns out black after that... Find the bugger who is putting due in your system at night...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

No, it shouldn't turn black at all. What fluid are you using? Do you bleed it? It's about 70-80 for AISIN clutch master AND slave from Rock auto. If you do both it should have clear fluid for quite a long time. I Wondering what you are doing that it would turn black...,

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

You should replace both the slave and the master. As mentioned above AISIN is OEM. I get mine from Rock Auto.

    7mge problems, need help

Holy crap.... That last post brings up a whole list of possible issues... Is your cat clogged? You disassembled an engine to paint the block??? Is this a 7mge with 2j injectors???? Are they low impedance? Umm... Where do you start? Lol. I'm hoping I misunderstand more than I think I do:)

    Small Fixes; High Idle, EBrake

Pi (3.14yaddayadaa) has a lot of knowledge and has given me good input in the past. Some of the long time members get a bit abrasive when responding simply because they forget this your first time running into this problem and your doing your best to get it right. It's usually best to ignore the...

Yeah local is best, I have seen them used from 300 to 1000, but knowing compression helps in the sale. The more history the better.
