You can go pretty low and keep them in if you want to. Most just remove it because of the hassle. The main reason to remove it because most of the mounting points are on the fender lip which most people cut or roll when going flush.

rub on what? your fenders? that would be on you if you make the clearance. If you means rub on the chassis it should clear.

If you roll your fenders and run some camber then yes.

That combo will fit with out rolling your fenders. It would actually sit similarly to stock MK3 wheels.

HIDs is the only thing I think that can help. Unless you crack it open and do a custom projector set up.

The problem with removing that reflector is that the light is glared everywhere. Not safe for on coming traffic.

The main reason why I would choose ET40 is because it will give you more room for a larger tire. And because you already listed the tire sizes you would like to run ET40 would be the best. If you go ET20 you will run in to many issues with the tire hitting the fender. If you really do want to...

Should fit with out the fenders being rolled. But it has been such a long time since i had stock fenders so I am not 100% sure.
