The Luxocruiser 3650 lb sled thread

Sorry about the delayed reply. I went from 98.04 in October (great weather) to 105.56 in July (shit hot and humid) with that being the only change. Stock A340E. And 1/2 second faster ET in the 1/8, so it isn't all on top either.

    7M-GE compression increase?

Changing to the later camshaft that was also used in the Cressida will increase the dynamic compression. It is why some thought they had better power with "NA cams", even though it was not a continuous run of the 7MGE. Yes, decking it raises it some. I burned a cheap gasket by doing that and...

The Luxocruiser 3650 lb sled thread

I'm looking for a picture with the intake pipe off and not hooked to the 3000 pipe. I don't see one. I will have to say the LIPP elbow had a stud besides the oxygen sensor port studs. And it was held only in that spot. I think it is the flat spot where the red arrow is.

Also, here is how your 7MGTE should sound at warm idle. This was after I replaced the pulley, belt, and spring. Hit the like and subscribe buttons.

Timing belt noise from inside the car

This is an older video I had on my computer. The sound is the belt bouncing off the cover. I put it on youtube just for a reference.

Can failing igniter not throw any codes?

You might have wire deterioration just from the age of the vehicle. And you have an intermittent failure, and the older system doesn't really see it. I haven't thought about this in quite a while. IGf can only get a code if the command (IGt) to fire is given. When the leg of the transistor is...

    Vibration over 60mph.

The tire store also needs a road force variation machine, and knows how to use it. Too many places act like they can run their business like a McDonalds (here's looking at you Firestone) and they don't have anyone that can operate it. The short answer is the tire is rotated on the wheel to...

What coolant does 1987 7M-GE Auto use?

Only if he doesn't use the correct working thermostat which maintains minimum temperatures. The OEM radiator by NipponDenso is no longer made in Japan. It is now made in China, and aluminum. All else is the same.

Diff rebuild by "pro" not going well

Crush collars are used again without noise on many applications. It sets pre-load on the bearing. It might not be your noise. So is the 7MGE.

    7m running RICH

In times past people said they sprayed MAF cleaner in it, after a K&N was in place for 75,000 miles. We don't have a lot of options in that regard. I bought an actual 1UZFE meter on ebay years back. It had the same electronic part with number from Fuji. And I could be remembering wrong. It's...
