I like my 3.91. Right in the middle of 4.30 and the 3.73. Hey Steve, if you do a rebuild, get me those bearing numbers! I don't want to buy it from Toyota as we know they will just sell a Koyo bearing at a super high price. Just want to pull the diff and repair and replace then install...
Make sure you get all those clearances tight as possible and I always close in the c-clips to make them tighter. Wait until you feel a rebuilt gearbox, I am not sure if you have seen my build thread but I did mine and I shift all gears with two fingers or just a pull with my middle finger.

They have no quality control to release as CONTINUE to release pistons that have defects with the crown.
There are people who would argue with me when I say not get probes. Blah blah blah, your buddy used them and they are fine. That's not the point. Their machining is inaccurate and have they fixed the crown of the piston that needs to be ground down because of the rough edges?
I tell...
How did he mess up people's cars? Unless you are saying he had a shop and worked on a car and messed it up. Then again, we have owners who don't understand a 20+ year old car will have another issues right as you fix one issue.
