LOl...I know...I have changed all my carbon fiber to prepreg carbon fiber now.
Its more expensive but I do not have to mess around with resin and all the smell and the mess that comes with wet layup.
Its worth it...

You should have turned the crank to make sure it rotates freely when you got the engine back from your mechanic.
Do you know if he honed the cylinders to the correct finish? If he didnt, it would make it difficult to turn the crankshaft but you still would be able to do it.

Spray some WD40 otherwise you could try using a bolt or stud extractor.
Here is a link so you can see what it looks like. You should be able to buy it from a local atuo parts shop or tool shop.

You will have to drill a hole in the stud and wind...
Check the motor in the rear hatch for the power antenna.
When I bought my car, I found out that the motor for the antenna was unplugged. I plugged it in and it made the same whinning sound. Probably thats why the previous owner left it unplugged

Its very hard when a parent dies. First everything is a shock and confusion. Then comes the missing them alot part and wishing you could have spent more time with them or done more. I know I did. But keep heart and be strong.
