ahaha, only problem with Japan is I would probably be going Alone. Which Kinda sucks. Another option i forgot to add was, save half, and take the other half and go on a road trip w/ friends to NYC visiting most of the states inbetween. But it has been my dream to go outside of the country and visit somewhere else. Very hard to decide where to go when every plane ticket from Amsterdamn to Italy, or even to Japan or Guam. All the tickets are 1200-1300 dollars.

don't spend it on your car.

Thats right..Dont spend it on your car. Save your money.
I would pick the trip to Japan...

I think you would enjoy it alot. I have travelled to several countries and really enjoyed it alot. Travelling alone can become lonely but if you are too busy looking around exploring and meeting people it shouldnt be a problem.
Maybe you could also buy performance parts for your Supra cheaply over there. I heard you can buy really good stuff in the junkyards over there.
Plus when you travel alone, it makes you more independent and you learn how to survive on your own.

Just do your research and find out which places you should not go to.

Cheers,
Roy

Prolly save up, and spend on something, that makes your life better... You have everything? Go to a trip... at least a vacation will be good for you... the 2jz won't go anywhere, as you supra won't either :)

You should come here to Japan. Tokyo is FTW!!! Be sure and have some money for the massage parlors:)

Hey, if I did go to Tokyo, i'd be needing a cheap place to stay :biglaugh: :1zhelp: haha. Any ways, VVTI ftw. Not many people have spent the money to go big with this motor.

save your money and invest it properly. it may come in handy in the long run. and if you get payed enough to save 450 a month then start investing some of that too. go on a vacation somewhere in the states for a lot less money.

im only making 12 an hour right now, not a lot.. I just dont have many bills. 50 a week for gas/food, 130 a month for insurance/cellphone. The rest goes into my car.

I think I should just say screw going out of the country, While I would gain many memories, I believe it would be depressing at my age to go alone. A few of my friends want to drive to Canada or NYC and I think that would be a little more fun.

Besides that, I really want to go witha 2jzgte vvti motor, but it seems all of the 2jz swap info is just do it as you go, and I haven't really found a GOOD write up. I sorta think me and my bro could do most of the work.

Yeah you could always want to go for vacation here but I think its better to go oveseas. You want to experience something different.

Believe me, once you go travelling to different countries, you will enjoy it alot.
You will see things and find things which you dont find here.

Find a supra guy who lives in Japan, ask them if you could stay over and they can be your tour guide. I am sure he can take you for performance supra parts. Remember our cars are old and you can find lots of parts there which you cannot find here.

Cheers,
Roy

I second that!! But seriously who knows when you might have the money again to travel around the world. I mean Canada or even the East Coast is on thing but the opportunity to go somewhere "exotic"? I dunno I suppose I should eat my own words and travel up to Northern or Southern Japan myself, but I digress... Anyhow if you have to money to travel somewhere far away I say go for it. Thailand is really cheap and can be a blast. When I was a Bangkok hotels there are like 25 USD PER night and the food is cheap too. Plus the ladies???!!! Or you could go to southern Thailand like Phuket or somewhere like that. Its absolutely beautiful there and still pretty inexpensive, save for the airfare. Just some food for thought.

^^ I don't think it matters, I don't want either.

I really would love to throw a 2jzgte in it. I've found US 2jzgte motors for 1500-2000, but thats *just* the motor. I think I could go AEM or another standalone for about 1,000, and that cost right there is cheaper than buying a front clip. I would still need motor mounts, the 1jz bell housing for my R154.. and gosh who knows how much more.. Any one think its actually doable for under 4,000? The rest of the money I made would go into my interior. I really want some sparco torino seats, 4 point harneses, remove the rear seats and fix the headliner and such from the crappy job that was done on it.

I can still travel to Canada and have a fun time for $500. It *IS* technically out of the country.

Saving the money is hard, i've been told to save it for college... but I figure why?? I'll save Next year for that. Right now my college gets paid for + some extra.
