he didnt really go into much detail as to why he prefered them. However i do remember his statement that "the only thing worth using on the JZA80 platform was the shell"
Why not the engine? JGTC the GT500 class they used the 3S i believe it had to do with regulations.
The RX7's are awesome cars for everything you listed above. Although the 13BT had the apex seal issue they revised that though not 100% sure if it was on the 89 13BT or on the 13BREW. Bolt on FC Turbo II's are QUICK. Stock for stock the Supra would beat the FC. Modded i cant say ive never seen a...
looks like a Group A LSD to me. Looks like its got plumbing for a cooler.
There are a few places in Japan that sell used or spare race engines. You can buy a 3SGTE from one of the GT500 Supras for about $11,000. Id imagine that the engines from the Group A Supras can be had as well if any...
Also id like to point out that at one point the MA70 and JZA70's were sold along side each other at the same time. One of the things that really killed the MA70 in Japan was that the 3.0's were still the most the expensive Supra you could buy despite the difference in power. It was cheaper to...
They really dont cause any issue at all. Ive driven in front of MR2's, Supras, and Civics with JDM foglamps which have no glare sheild at all. No glare whats so ever.
The person who mentioned it from a racing standpoint. From what ive read the 1JZ was developed most in part to be a direct competitor to the RB26. Renik designed the RB26 that went into the Grp. A GT-R's to be a race motor which is ironically funny because the street RB26's are complete trash...
my dad got me a TRD oil cap (hopefully this one wont scorch my hand) ive wanted one for the past few years so while not all that useful i still think it was cool and nice of him

I ordered a BIC Test Pipe back in 2008 rest assured youll get it it has to go through customs.
I had read that the influx of eBay copies of BIC products is what was really hurting BIC.
That looks almost as bad as my old 7M auto trans filter. The transmission is not sitting in the storage room, its dead burned the clutches out on that thing. Lost 3rd and 4th on the freeway.
The aftermath looked like this
Ended up swapping a A342 in from a Soarer, first thing we...
You wont notice much of a difference between the Hyper and the Touring only in the looks dept. I own the Hyper and it has the Advantex packing same as the Touring.
The HiPower isnt a true straight 3" exhaust and neither is the Tanabe they both reduce to a 2.75" inside the canister. I own the older Super Hyper Medallion and inside the muffler it reduces to a 2.75". Both will support the 500hp range however the drager is 3.5" it may not be stainless but...
