Do the rear speakers appear to be factory?
What I am getting at is that very much appears to be a 70-1398 harness ( Metra part number )
The front speakers, ground, and switched power are in that harness. The rear speakers and constant power are in a second, smaller harness that you appear...
That's wierd. He ran a ground litterally to your kick panel and a power to your batter? That's wierd. Its unusual an installer would take the time required to do that.
Yes, they're stupid expensive. Find out the exact part number for me. Those boxes should negate the need to run sperate...
I concur with what Jeff is saying. If it only has/had a single plug then its going to be an amplified system. <86 had two plugs, although they differed from the <87 in size. To my knowledge toyota has always used two plugs for non amplified systems.
Any chance you could get a picture of...
I'm not going to read what anyone else said, so if I am repeating someone: sorry.
problem 1 sounds like a poor power source or ground
problem 2 sounds like they did not use the correct interface. GM radios route many data functions through their radios. Instead of having to relocate the...
I had no intent of responding defensively. There is alot of 'voice' lost through the internet :)
I did not (and still don't :)) understand what you were saying about the wiring being too short. I have had to shorten the wires for both sensors to keep from having to bundle the wire. I can...
What do you mean its short? I left it that way intentionally... No reason to have it anywhere other than the glove box when you're tuning with a laptop.
There's enough wire to hold it comfortably from the drivers seat in the event it needs to be looked at or something....
If that's your only rational then you really need to re-think yourself.
Sony sucks as far as car audio goes. Their head units are okay, their speakers are alright, but their amps are pretty bleh.
You can get a significantly better amp for slightly more. There is NO benifit of matching...
I cannot find the pictures Dr. J put up of what needs to be modified on the circuit board of an 89+ ECU to make the HAC work with the Maft pro.
Anyone have it saved?
I was kinda hesitant to redo my cams but they're kind of at an angle so I figured what the hell, why not.
Also: Do the seals go as far as possible, or just till they're flush with the head/block/etc?
All mine are getting replaced tomorrow (assuming the finally show up in the mail)
I'm not very good at all at putting these things in, obviously, or they wouldn't be leaking now.
Does anyone have some tips or tricks I could use to assist me? IJ. posted a tip in a thread somewhere but I...
