Well the JZ tend to run hotter than the 7M. I along with Dustin have Aluminum radiator combinations and both of our JZ run at 190F. I had a huge tantrum about it because I thought it was supposed to be 180 but 190 is where try idle and up to 200 on hot days and highway is normal.
You know I'm a JZ guy and would tell you a JZ but the only other motor I would say to use would be the 1UZ from the early years because they are super beefy on the inside.
It was hydraulic pressure used to activate the switch to complete the circuit so the light would illuminate.
Needless to say, we blocked it off and used a switch I had laying around behind the pedal and relocated the wires and now it's all electrical.
I used the cruise control switch on the left panel. It has the power, ground and illumination. I could tap into it as I don't have cruise control on my car.
VW use of a pressure activated brake switch in the brake lines that control the brake lights. Why is it dumb? When it blows, it doesn't just go bad, the spring breaks out, causing a hole in the switch and fluid rushes out with every press of the pedal.
