most individuals probably won't even recognize that as a supra. its a light blue hatchback, that's what they'll see probably...
still sucks though. probably was a stolen supra.
I would leave it, if you aren't having overheating issues...why try to cool off the engine bay beyond preventing that heat from emanating in the first place? If you have a turbo I say aftermarket heat shielding/turbo blankets and call it a day. toyota put that seal there for a reason....
You...
???? curb rash and rock chips you mean?
i dont get it. its a color. what makes bronze go crappy faster than black, the attractor of all dirts and blemishes?
yeah, thats as tight as you need. i'm just a perfectionist and since the TSRM supplied me with a torque rating i used it. :p kinda silly but sometimes this kind of thing helps me keep peace of mind.
if i ever pull them again i'll probably hand tighten them though, the first time around it...
what are those little horns under the lights? headlamp washers? I have NEVER seen them on a mkIV....ever. if that is what they are...
and i'm pretty sure page two of this thread is dead somehow.
HOLY SHIT your work is amazing! props to you and your dad for bringing this one back and doing it so well at that! I can't wait to see it done, I looked at every page of your thread, that man...was it worth it!
:D
you can, but you just have to use a very soft setting. so soft its almost stupid on a normal large torque wrench. but it works if your wrench is that sensitive. :)
i think black is a nice VIP mean look, bronze looks more sporty but...serious sporty..
i dont think i've seen those rims in black with polished lips though...
spoolint78 - nice! now i'm not sure what i like more. i was thinking bronze but the black is nicer than i thought because the centers...
unless you are suggesting he go bronze with a polished lip...you're just regurgitating the same damn choice he was having trouble with in the first place! LOL.:biglaugh::nono:
I would get photos of each or photoshop jobs, and decide for yourself... but you asked so..
BRONZE
I use regular bolts. it's all i could find at the time but they work great. I used a washer or two on top of the grommets to bridge the gap since the bolts are kinda long, but its not an issue. If anything it allows for less friction so i get correct torque readings.
I like my regular bolts...
yipes. well i might inquire tomorrow but it sounds more trouble than its worth to me right now. Cyroslash - so are you saying these cars are generally problematic?
thanks people :)
its in california and has a bad clutch. if you're still interested later and i'm not i can let you know.
I think tomorrow i'll call some shops and ask about the price of a clutch job. i bet its a shit-ton.
ah ok sweet. thanks for the tip i'm searching on that site now :)
and you're right i didn't really think of all the extra parts the car has to turn in the awd system...
