I was surprised at how well the finished on the paint ended up. There are a few spots where I accidentally dinged it, and a few dust spots, but it looks a hell of a lot better than the red did.
That rust spot is always on the back of my mind, I hate rust.
Cleaned it up a bit
I primed and painted the hatch today. It looks pretty good! Definitely not a great paint job, but I am happy with it, as it is only temporary.
Pictures!
Also, fixitman, here is the one spot of rust on the car...its not too big, but definitely needs to be fixed.
I think there is rust behind the paint, but it still feels solid, so I hope its surface rust

Sorry for the double post....But as you can see my spoiler is red, and the car is white. What do you think of...
Well its not really personal issues, or car issues. My dad is going out of town with his girlfriend and I promised to house/dog sit or them while they are gone. I just talked to him and he said if I can find someone to let the dogs out at noon, it would be no problem for me to go, as long as I...
Sweet that would be awesome. How much you think it would be to get the passenger mud guard, the front bumper, upper nose piece, and hatch/wing painted? Or is that for an entire car...?
I was planning on going to the meet but some things have come up and I don't think I will be able to make it...
The seats did come with the option of heaters, but I chose not to go with that. The only things the set came with were both front seats the the rear, nothing else. Here is a link to the sale...
Yepp, they are OEM fit seat covers. Take off the old cloth, buy about a 100 hog rings, and spend about a full day putting new material on. It is kind of a pain in the ass, but definitely worth it!
Thanks for the kind words. I got the seat covers on ebay from ebay seller IC-0801. He was very easy to work with and let me order the seats just how I wanted them. Shipping is slow as it is USPS from China, not Texas as stated on eBay. I paid 300 big ones for the complete set. Money well...
I have a mix of Craftsman, Channelock, and a bunch of Harbor Freight stuff. I have to say that I think Harbor Freight has stepped up their game lately. Their Pittsburgh brand tools seem to be of good quality and have taken everything I have thrown at them so far. Keep your receipt, and they...
The Supra is finally back on the road! Man does it feel good to be back behind the wheel. Finally got around to installing the rear hatch trim, 3rd brake light, and various other things. I got a bunch of pictures, so ill let them do the talking.
Harbor Freight is my Hero
New seats! I am very...
The GTE has rod knock. A honing of the crank is definitely necessary I think. I am looking at Clevite for the rods, ARP head studs, felpro head gasket. I will have to buy the rod bearings before I have the crank honed correct? Also, can I reuse the main bearings, thrust washers, etc.? I will...
I took the center console off, and sure enough, I forgot to plug in both connectors. As far as the blower motor, the connector came a little loose. And the radio had a blown inline fuse, and the windows just started working again. So all is good and the supra is re-insured and back on the road!
