I am going to leave the block how it came back from the shop. They painted it with some kind of paint. The machine shop took the plugs out of the crank and cleaned that all out. The oil squirters are the original ones that came with the block...I just let them soak in mineral spirits for a few...

I don't want to put them in just to crack one or a few of them, but it sounds like these crack if something goes wrong. They are on the cheaper side so I got worried that they would not do too well because of that.

school has had me really busy. I am just going with a stock CT, but if I could eventually do 350 to the wheels on an upgraded ct i'd be happy. It will be mostly stock besides a 3 inch full exhaust with ddp. I got some ARP head bolts and the mhg of course. I don't want to blow the head gasket...

I bought some 20 over npr pistons off of ebay for my turbo build. I have heard that these are known to break apart under boost loads that are not incredibly heavy. Is this true and if so what is a good set of pistons to put in that are a fairly decent price?

haha I am probably going to just take what I need off of it and if it's tons of stuff just part it and if not then sell it as a whole. I hate to part it because it's such a pain, but the motor also runs very well.

You think it is still worth selling as a whole if I take random things off such as some of the EGR components and maybe other little things? I planned on keeping a list of what all I take off of it to pass onto whoever buys it if I do sell it as a complete motor.

I am going to be swapping in a GE in the next month or two. Once the GTE goes in I can't decide what to do with the GE. It is the original engine and has never been rebuilt. I burned a valve and had the head rebuild and resurfaced. It was put back on a torqued back down to 75 ft/lbs on stock...

where would I be able to find a 2.2mm MHG?

Ok so he came back with these measurements for the block and head: the block is 198.17 MM the head is 115.47 MM I plugged these into the calculator and it is telling me I need a 2.2MM MHG. I don't want to pay to get one custom made or something. The block has been bored 20 over so would it be...

I did include the front timing cover plate with the block when I dropped it at the shop.

Since the cylinders are bored out 20 over and maybe possibly more (I'll know for sure tomorrow) do I need to get a metal head gasket that has the same bore? I never thought of this before and thought I would check. I have seen standard 83 bore, 84 and 86 bore. What would be a good place to get a...
