It is okay to use the clay bar on the bumper. It does not take off paint or such. It removes the dirt and grime and all the rest of the dirt from the paint.
BTW: my first ever Sup[ra was a 89 : MINT WHITE package. It was the cleanest Supra I had ever owned. This was back in 1991.
If you ever have time, let me know because I would like to pose with my black car next to a white one and make a big poster of it.

Actually I have noticed a higher concentration of MKIII's in Hayward/Fremont area. I have so far seen at least 2 white package ones, and including yours, that makes 3. I have seen a few Black ones and some nice red ones as well, all in fairly good condition.

You may have bought the wrongKOYO>
You must have picked one up for a 1JZ equipped Supra, and that threaded bung is for the Hydraulic Fan's temperature sender.
You can block it with a similar threaded bolt with some thread tape or return and get one for a 7MGTE equipped car.

I like them, but have yet to see one on a SUpra in person. I feel ya on the comment about opening Supra doors in tight spaces.. lol.
I would rock 'em ...but too pricey for me..
