The NA Tach won't work unless you add or change a resistor i it. Better off getting a 7mgte/turbo tach as that will work without any issues.

Well, I think a bunch of other guys got it to work with the 7mgte tach. It works for the 1JZ ,I don't see why it should not work for the 2jz. Its the same signal I assume. I know the 7mGE tach needs to have a resistor replaced though. I'm still stumped with mine ...that is the only thing not...

okay, tried the black wire on the smaller plug, no go. tried the Black/red wire ofrom the tach lead on the bigger connector, = no go. tried another black wire on the bigger lead = no go. So I am stumped. Anyone has an actual Aristo wiring diagram? I am going by the 2JZ o5 MKiV wiring...and...
