alright today i got the engine pulled on my car and took off the oil pan to take a look inside, first thing i am greeted by is the remains of a bearing all over the oil pump filter. well as it turns out the first cylinders bearing is all on that filter, so i found the rod knock problem. i go...

I bet you thats why it developed rod knock! Thanks guys i will remember to change that out.

ya i ran the carfax report remember i said it had a salvaged title. lol ya i know the p/s window is down the driver is all the way down. lots of unconnected plugs so didnt hook it up to the battery to roll them up.

Hey guys im new to the forum and i bought myself a 89 supra and i plan to do a complete rebuild on the engine. Does anyone have any ideas where to get a complete engine rebuild kit for a reasonable price? Buy reasonable i mean a college student budget:biglaugh:. I dont want to sacrifice price...
