ok i finally got everything back together with the elbow fixerd, i bought a greddy type s boost controller, and my solid mounts in. all i can say is wow. at 14 psi i had alot of difficulty keeping the ass end stuck to pavement through all of 2nd and most of 3rd. and.....then two of my couplers...
I dropped my camera lastnight and it is fubar. on a positive note i started taking everything apart and the only thing left to do is fix my elbow/downpipe:) glad to hear everything is working accordingly paradox
yes i appologize for still having the stock elbow. thats all i had to work with atm. i will try to get a vid today of that gauge. im going to try to modify the stock elbow. and just basically cut out the wall and weld everything back up. any reason that wouldnt work?
How long was the car driven with the bad gasket? what issues is he having, overheating? smoke? all of the above? make sure to have the head checked out before re-installation. other than that use common sense and its a sinch.
He did have an engine dynometer sheet for just over 450 and close to that in torque as well. it would be a fun car as they only weigh 2700 lbs. lol still Supra is just something i cant leave.
The guy that i bought my supra off of, (bought it with a blown motor and shot clutch). Called me and asked me to trade for his 79 sunbird. fully built 355. 535 lift cam, built turbo 350, 8 1/2 ten bolt rear 4.10 gears etc.. runs mid 11's. I went and looked at the car. but i just couldnt bring...
Im going to start my problem fixing this weekend, taking off the turbo and tacking the gate. im gonna get a friend of mine to modify the elbow from the exhaust(im still running a stock elbow), and get new 4 ply couplers. oh and add my new beech solid mounts:) then im gonna turn it up to around...
we had a mid 2000's s2000 stock dyno at a local shop, he must have revved it to the better part of 9k and put down a devastatingly vicious 212whp. with your mods that s2000 should have been a tail light chaser.
See i never really had a problem so much with the trans bolts. as much as i did with just getting it to go back into the tunnel correctly. major pita. i just half pull the motor, so that its airborne and tilts back much easier. everyone has their own way that is easier for them.
