Ahh makes sense, I misread your post and took it as if he should gram power somewhere else for the headlights, not the foglights. My bad.

If thats the case (and it probably is) then tapping from another 12V source will still cause the circuit to think that there is no headlamp working..unless you keep the halogen bulbs plugged in right? I think a resistor might be needed to fool the circuit into thinking there is a halogen...
