btw i forgot to mention.... i found a small ball... looks like a ball from a ball bearing just hang out inside at the bottom of the trans. any idea what that is? where it belongs? could that be our issue?
how long have you been running it, just curious.
the guy in that thread was only running it for about a month or 2 before it flew apart. it just doesn't make sense to run a clutch in a direction it wasn't designed for. his fan was always fully engaged 100% of the time, which is not good...
don't run this set up!!!! my buddy jordan had this exact setup... all brand new from DM and it blew up! after researching we found others with the same set up had similar issues.

post 1564...
i didn't see any fluid anywhere leaking. all the lines were dry. i did notice when he pressed the clutch, it looked like there was a little play in the slave so i tightened the two bolts and he said it felt a small smidget better, but not enough to cure the problem.
sounds like the pedal...
no reservoir tank yet. he's running only on water which can guarantee the combination is causing the over heating. he just showed up so lets see what we can figure out.
one good thing is it flushed out all that nasty green coolant that was in there.
maybe it's just preference but i'm gonna stick with my efans... i haven't had any issues with overheating once in my jz 87 or current 89 (couple summers of driving... the e fans i had were the cheap ones that come with the mishimoto rad. Flexalites with the controller should work as good if not...
didn't know your dog passed. my condolences. yeah i don't see how we could fit a thicker radiator in there (e fans or mechanical) it's already sitting against the intake side of the IC piping. Jordan is your piping 2.5 or 3in.?
