Got today the back aluminum plate from sandblasting also...and I just painted it,looks like new!

Well, it hasn't got a vane pump or valve... The alu tower goes inside the housing with a different stracture than the outside cooler. It is located near the pinion on the inside,and I think that the LSD oil is hitting the inside alu 'bar' which cools the fluid. Also there is an 'air scoop'...

Took apart the diff and cleaned every single part. Just got the iron housing....looks like new after the sandblasting. Ordered new oil seals from the dealer. And last I will paint both the iron housing and the rear aluminum plate! After sandblasting....

Ricers....lol I just got my 4" HKS Ti , LOL ! Though I didn't have the time to put it on... Maybe next week...and I'll take pictures.

If you could do that..it would be great! Extra cooling is always good idea.

This back plate (from euro spec) is aluminum... Weird to see one made from cast iron or stainless steel.

Really very nice and clean mk3 you got there. Good luck with it. The leather on the driver's seat is nothing... you can redo both front seats with a little shadow grey (darker) color, since these will take the abuse in the next years. Rears will always look good,almost new!

If I could get / find a banch of these...like 10 pieces, it would worth it to ship them by freight cargo (sea shipping) to Florida or N.Y. but these are very hard to get,even here in Europe.

Damn... Very Clean Car! This looks like a 10 grand mk3...you're lucky you got it for $6.5K. Where's the redline..6250 rpm or 6500 rpm? (6M or 7M crank?). Miles on it? Nice car bro...Keep it the way it is! I also got a 1990 turbo, targa, manual, with medium grey interior without leather though!

Targa? 87-88 or 89-92 ? My best choise : 1989 - 1992 (preferable 1992), with dark grey interior, 5 speed (R154), 7M-GTE, Targa, Black . (cause only the 91 or 92 could get the dark grey interior.I would only change the 92' steering wheel with an 89' and ditch the airbag.Also I would swap...

I don't know how effective it is...but I did many high speed runs 270-280 km/h on German autobahns in the past and I still got the same diff without having any issue with it. So it does the cooling job very well. Yes.. aluminum is used for lightweight and heat dissipation reasons.

And how would you like to be? Stock? 7M or 1JZ/2jz?

Such built up projects do cost a lot of money either with the mk3 or the SC300... Which ever you choose it's ok,but sell the other to free up some cash. I would go with the mk3. I did mine 3 years ago and to a friend 1 year ago. 2jz mk3 all the way!
