I also like the thought of being able to turn the boost down and up in cabin for Gas reasons. My car is a daily driver and for now im only looking to run 12psi
Seems like a whole lot of Pro for the EBC.
What was the mistake? How did it occur? Electrical problem or possibly bad installation...
Im definitly not against them i just figured if im gonna spend the money go with a EBC...
I guess i dont know the Pro's and Con's between a MBC and a EBC
Some no name ebay crap. turns out when i took it apart the ball was on the wrong side of the spring. Anyway i switched it around but with it turned all the down i was still hitting fuel cut in 2 and 3rd until about 5k rpms when the boost would drop off greatly.
So im just going with a EBC...
So im going to purchase a EBC after having bad luck with a MBC lol.
Just wanted to know what are the best ones to go with.
I really like the AEM Tru Boost ($275) its a boost gauge and controller has nice options.
But there are ones that are double the price like
TurboSmart Eboost 2...
It was random muffler i think i got it from a member on here(Mclabaugh). its on a buddys N/A now. header was built to replicate pacetters i believe.
Only N/A model i owned but it was still a great car.
check out the driftmotion Dp $199.99 gets rid of elbow 3inch all the way back has bung for Wide band also.

I feel the same except i dont have tons of cash :( only good news is i live in a desert. but rust is a problem for my car at the moment it spent the first 20 years of its life in san diego california
yeah IMO muffler plays a huge huge part in the tone.. Headers to on a N/A

Ugh im battling the rust issue my self in the spare tire well its pretty bad.. i do not know how or have the skills to do it my self so its gonna cost me.
So i took apart the T and the Ball is on the wrong side of the spring according to the above photo in Post #1

So i just took the car for a spin. boost controller all the way shut.
2nd and 3rd gear hit fuel cut at first until 4800-5200 rpm range when i can see the boost...
Yeah the picture is pretty striaght forward. lol
I can blow through one side of the T and not the other the side i can blow through is going to the Turbo Housing because the arrow points to the wastegate.
yeah its facing the Waste gate. and the other side is going to the pipe on the turbo just like the stock hose ran.
Not sure what you mean about does it settle if i wind it back? The MBC causes it to overboost no matter where it is set it can be all the way closed or opened acording to the...
So i installed this type of Boost controller just like the picture
and now all the car does is hit fuel cut or boost cut not sure witch. just jerk while accelerating.. so is this just a shitty MBC or did i do something wrong i kept the vaccum lines pretty short.
