I went to a salvage yard today and "practiced" on a junked out turbo cluster. It was ridiculously simple and I felt like a dumbass for asking. I think I will just find a nicer non turbo cluster and replace the whole damn thing.

But how do you get your hands behind it? From underneath? And does the speedo cable just pop off or does it screw into the back of it?

Cool. Taking the car to the shop tomorrow to get the engine swapped so hopefully will be ready by Friday. If it is I'll be there, hell I may just show up in my Chevy truck if it ain't ready yet.

No I have not due to the amount of trouble it would be (for me) to remove the cluster. I'm not quite sure what all is involved in removing the cluster. I don't mean removing the bezels but wiring and speedo cable. I'm afraid I'll f*ck something up.

Obviously my gauge is grounded somewhere. Is it possible for it to be grounded inside the gauge itself because I have corrected the rough spot in the wiring and checked out the rest of the harness and can't find any other defects. The guy who I bought it from said it started this after he had a...

That's fairly close to me. I'm getting the engine swapped next week and hope to have it back by Friday. What's the turnout typically been? I will be there if my car is out of the shop. Forgot to ask if us non turbo drivers are invited also?

Do you know if the jdm swap has the jdm intake? If it does then I hear that 's a problem, although I'm new to MK3s so what do I know.

Were the door hinges expensive and how difficult were they to replace?

Below is a picture of my oil pressure gauge. It stays this way whether the engine is running or not. I checked and the wire is hooked up to the sending unit. No change when I disconnect it either. My question for you is, bad gauge or bad sending unit? I've never seen a gauge do this before.

Sweet '90 model Turbo. I like those wheels. I would like to have a 3 piece spoiler on mine as well. Just need to get mechanical issues resolved first, then will concentrate on cosmetics. That's a real nice MKII also. That's what I was going to buy if I couldn't find a descent MKIII.
