My huge dual tips do that every time I start it during the winter. It looks pretty funny actually. I like to rev it up a bit (read 3500...not 6000:aigo: ) to get some of the condensation out of the exhaust.
I am actually in Automotive Engineering...I just never say that because people just think thats a fancy term for a mrchanic. lol. Engineering is very difficult. The biggest PITA for me is Calculus...gives me shivers just writing the word. If you enjoy math or at least can do it without...
I agree that it is pushing it...but its been done. I saw 390 on a car that was just tuned with a Lex and an SAFC II. He was running 16 psi and he felt that was the upper limit of the turbo.
If you are shooting to consistently and reliably run anywhere over 400, you should probably move on...
I dont know how far the car is from Red Deer but I had a Car towed from BArrie to Oshawa by CAA. I think they do up to 120 km. Might be worth is because the tow itself would cost way more than the membership.
This is only true if you don't get it re-routed. They both make about the same power but this keeps it much lower profile.
EDIT- I forgot about the first cat but if you have an aftermarket downpipe at all you might not pass. Depends on if they know their stuff.
From your pic I can see why you are kinda bored. You car doesn't handle that great (stock suspension), doesn't go that fast (stock everything else) and it could look alot better (sawblades:biglaugh: ). I was once exactly at your stage...everything was stock.
You will seriously thank...
Thought you might like a younger persons perspective. I'm 19 and in University for Mechanical(Automotive) Engineering. I have no free time, no money and more stress than should ever be possible. In three more years I will be 70k in debt with no guarantee of a job right out of school. I had...
The problem is that you may think your turbo runs fine but really it it being pushed well beyond its limits with minimal gains. When your turbo is that far gone it can lead to other problems such as oil consumption. If you do not keep a watchful eye on it...BAM!!!...rodknock.
Just something...
So these are the light I have to thank when I'm on a cruise night and some guy behind me is blinding me? I've had it happen and it's annoying as hell. I wouldn't buy them unless they had both high and low beams.
