not hard, not fun... try it without removing the panel first. Then its screw by screw til it comes free!!

I ordered a new mast from toyota, $12?? but turns out my motor gears were in pieces... Just order a new mast. Its easiest to pull the back corner panel, but you can do it through the access panel. you'll have to take off the spoiler piece too. two screws and its off IIRC.
