does it require removing the gears or just disassembling the housing and i can get to it? also, what could happen if i keep driving it like so? like i mentioned, it does not pop out of gear. sorry for all the questions but thanks for your quick answers.

haha, that's why i'm here...thanks IJ. i posted a response in SF (i though the "shift fork" was the "clutch fork" but i am wrong). how hard is it to replace the shift fork? is this something i need to have a shop do or can i do this myself? thanks.

did u ever figure out what the problem is? i'm having the same issue w/ mine...requires very little effort to take it out of third gear (only third gear, no grinds, etc).

it's definitely tranny fluid. not coming from any sensors/plugs, not from rear seal of tranny. it's coming from the center section of the transmission, usually has the red sealant. this is where you can take the 2 halves apart to get to the gears...

okay guys. my tranny is leaking on the bottom where the 2 halves meet. is it easy to take it apart and put new sealant or do i need to take it to a transmission shop and have them do it. any idea how much it is to rebuild, basically just replacing the thrust washer? tia?
