Thats the right attitude to have. Was this a stock gasket or metal? I'm loving my daily that I just bought because now my Supra is down as well (low compression). At least you don't have to rush and can do the job right. good luck with the rebuild.
Ya...that's why I didn't go on the cruise...didn't want to show you up in the 4dr boat. lol. We actually set up a slalom for out cars and I went through it with the GTP...it wasn't as bad as expected.
Ya, I kinda ballparked it with round figures. Needless to say it will be very costly but one day I plan to go. Hopefully one year there will be a Toronto contingent at SILV.
I realize that...in fact they tend to have slightly lower offsets. However, when I entered 1988 Supra into the wheels next site I got nothing. I think it's stupid not to post the offsets. Why you would make in harder for people to buy stuff from you is beyond me. Here is a link to the...
I'm looking at a set of Axis wheels right now and they don't give an offset for anything. Apparently their 18x8 and 18x9 won't fit a Supra but it will fit a 350Z and a Mustang. It's confusing. The ones I'm looking at are the Axis Gravity.
I personally haven't heard any negative feedback from the Megan coilovers and for the price they are hard to beat. Whether that is because they are merely acceptable for the price or they are genuinely good is unknown to me. I would link you to some threads on Supraforums but they don't have...
Get a DD that is good on gas and is very common. Makes it easier to find parts in a junkyard. I would buy a domestic due to the price of replacement parts and you can buy a relatively new one due to their steeper depreciation.
I plan to go once I'm done University...that would be one long ass drive.
EDIT: It's 2281 miles to Las Vegas from here...at 20 MPG and 3.50 per gallon...thats over $800 round trip. Then factor in fun stuff once I get there...this trip seems expensive...but probably worth it. lol
Or are embarassed. I highly doubt that only 6 people on this forum have blown headgaskets...regardless of prep. I think we have more current BHG threads than that going on right now. lol
I didn't have the block machined but it was checked and re-checked for 20+ min by a Toyota mechanic who has done TONS of 7M's with MHG. The head was a fresh head from the machine shop. We also used MHG spray from Chrysler. No problems.
Might want to add the spray option...thats another...
