Jake: I made a similar mistake as you :) I let my buddy tighten my tranny drain bolt. Hes a huge strong guy, but yet i go down the next afternoon to find my tranny fluid on the floor :D I hope that the tranny "problem" is the worst you encounter :)

My 7mge gaskets were EXACTLY like that. I squeezed them in, and there was a small bump in the middle of each side. Tightened em down with a little fipg and no problems so far :) Not to say i suggest using that gasket....

Ive got one and swear by them :) I wouldnt go past 10 PSI, but the difference from 6 PSI and 10 PSI is outstanding.
