With 340hp you shouldn't have traction problems as long as you know how to launch and feather the throttle, look at the link below.

Absolutley, a good FLAT surface is a must for 7m's, you don't have to look had to find the dreaded BHG stories, so do it right the first time, machine both.
Your right, making your car more reliable can't be a "mod"...dismissing the fact that your perspective of a "mod" has to add performance, but you've seen to forget the fact the word "mod" is "modification"- to enhance, further, or better something.
Can't go wrong with BFG's, but sounds like the problem isn't your tires, a little throttle control is what most Supra owners need. I assume you've red the supra drag racing guide sticky?
When I bought my car with almost the exact same setup (built, 62-1, AEM) as you the guy had 2 different clutches in his car, and he took it to a shop in SFL and they recommended him an ACT 6 puck stage 3 which I still have in it, they said whatever previous clutches he put in were too strong and...
If HKS made a damn high-power of TI with the long tip it would be top of my list, and I love the Biddy Club Spec II as well but again, its not made for our cars. I guess I'll just have a to weld on a muffler I want.
