Thanks for sharing your progress on the widebody. These original S2 fenders were test fitted by Shine. Adjustments were made prior to the fender mold production. There should be no gap between the A-pillar and fender. Check out the pics on page 1 of the group buy thread...

$3000 is for a set of MS1 wheels. If you go with 17" CCWs + tires, then you'll be in the $3500 area of your budget.

Ccw wheels are priced reasonably. You may not have to give up a kidney. Maybe just a spleen. For example, a set of 18" CCW Classics, any width up to 16" costs $2300. In comparison, a set of 18x12 SSR MS1 will cost $3000.

Rhd lists them for approximately 36000 Yen. So with shipping from Japan, it will cost over $500.
