    Illegal Exhaust Ticket... Again.

Typical VA. I just paid it, didn't change the exhaust, and didn't go to court. Haven't been bothered since with it even when I take it out running on the weekends...

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

I understand. Like I said, I understand the concept, but lack a spare turbo laying around so I could look at the flapper design. Sometimes I understand things better when I can actually work on them and sometimes I work better through reading... this happens to be one of the physical ones. lol...

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

Don't start that google mess with me... lol I had an idea of what it was. So once you drill that hole, it has to be tapped? Or can this be done without a tap? We need good pictures up close of before and after from the fix, does anyone have these? I understand the concept and could do it, but...

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

What exactly is a grub screw and how did you use it to resolve the problem? I agree, the pictures weren't clear enough.

T61 Bolt on Turbo by Cx Racing

The only thing so far that is keeping me from running this turbo, is the wastegate issue. How difficult is this to resolve?

I definitely would love to give it a try! I won't go putting in an application until we come up with people who would be good to rep the SM. A. - I can drive B. - Gutted chassis, lightweight C. - Nice wide tires D. - Pulls very hard down low, so it's perfect for the runs they do E. - Tein...

Compresion ratio: How to do the math?

I think he is asking the actual equations, not the plug and play method..... I did the same thing when i wanted to know my cfm, lbs/min, and a few other things. There are tons of calculators on the net, but I still like doing it by hand on paper as well. Search around, there are some really...

Need Help with 1.5JZ Engine Build

The 2jzge block is the same as the GTE, so you're block, rods, and crank, are just fine for 600whp. But it is all in the TUNE as well. The best way to figure out your compression ratio is to find your bore, stroke, deck height when the piston is at TDC, volume of the piston dish, and the...

    Borg Warner Turbo's

Blah re-post. Please let me know if my math is incorrect so I can correct myself. Low down it looks like it would be close to the surge limit, but it would be in the peak efficiency range all through the rpm's that matter. And if you turn that boost up to 20 psi, you just shift the...

    Borg Warner Turbo's

This is for the S300S 67 trim Exducer for 16 psi on a 3-6,000 rpm run. Granted there are more factors I could throw in like air density, but I chose to keep it to three simple equations.

    Borg Warner Turbo's

If someone can find a compressor map or two I can use my excel sheet i created to help me map them out for the 7mgte and 2jzge. Unless I find a workable graph first.

    Just Picked Up 2 Supras

Welcome to the 'mania! 1jz is a good choice, or you could go 1.5jz.... or built 7m... or 2jzge-t.... or 2jzgte.... or... lol Good luck deciding. I'm sure you will find all the answers you need. And if not, ASK! Elite few? Bah... the 2jz mkiii runners are the elite few! BUWAHAHA!!!

    6 speed manual into mk3

To the previous questions regarding the turbo size, just do your research and map out a few compressor charts. I have an excel file I am creating that will give you most of the information you need, I'll post it when it is ready. The 2jz spools very nicely, but I also plan on running a solid...

    6 speed manual into mk3

Not a problem, glad to help out. I have a build thread for my first one, it may help. I will be making a second build thread once I actually complete this 2jz motor. You should be able to do the whole swap with $4000, and that's including buying many things brand new and doing the labor...

    6 speed manual into mk3

No idea, but spend the extra on a shaftmaster's aluminum one-piece to eliminate the two-piece stocker. It's hell when it breaks. Plus you'll lighten your driveline. Also make sure to get the clutch you want off the bat too, because you'll want to turn that boost up more once it runs right.

Go spin the tires, only one wheel will spin if it does not have LSD. XD

    6 speed manual into mk3

If you are going 2jz in the mkiii, then search. The answers are there. I'm on my second 2jz swap. 1jz bellhousing mates the 2jz block to the R154. Going 6 speed is POINTLESS. The R154 will do everything you need. Just get a one-piece aluminum driveshaft, stick with the stock mkiii turbo LSD, and...
