according to my temp gauge it's running 140 deg c. I wonder if using the sandwhich plate, if i am blocking the efficiency of the oil cooler. maybe I should use my old 7m coolers in addition to the 1j one.

What is the normal operating oil temp for the 1jzgte?

My HKS Dual set up. I have an aftermarket y- pipe on my twins, so the only thing keeping this from being a true dual exhaust is the 3" x 3' down pipe. Sounds very unique especially w the 2j cams.

No. It is specially designed for the JZA70 chasis. I suppose fitting to the engine depends on your downpipe. Sorry for saying it was only for the 1J. I really don't know that for sure ,since there were other engines in that chasis in Japan as well. The pipe routing however was for the A70 chasis.
