Yes I did. Shaft play would not be present most of the time but as soon as I noticed some, the turbo would quickly deteriorate. The turbo would then begin to cause oil to be burned and blue smoke from the exhaust. I do not have the supporting mods for the turbo I want (or even a 57 trim) and I...
I've managed to kill about 3 CT's running them at 12 psi in the span of a couple years. These were all used turbo's but none had shaft play when installed (if they had play, I would not have installed them). I would not exceed 12 lbs unless it was on a rebuilt (or upgraded) turbo.
I didn't really read the thread but I saw stock CT-26 so there is your limiting factor. I don't think you would see much over 300 whp without switching turbo's.
Thanks IJ. I just got back from the shop. We raised the car a full inch at all four corners so that it could be aligned. The front was able to be set within factory tolerances but the rears were not. The rear is now -1.7* right and -2.0* on the left. Factory specs calls for a max -1.0 but...
So ya, bit of an update should go in here. My car was just in at the shop and had some work finished up. My car now has polyurthane bushings front and rear. My LIPP traction bars are in and I now have HSD coilovers.
Here are some pics.:)
This is the one sticker on my car. I replace it every year at the annual meet since it gets faded. For those that can't read, it says Toronto Supra Club.

- 15-way Adjustable
- Steel Body
- Pillow Ball Mounts

My review is that I love them. They ride excellent. Not too harsh even with Poly bushings. The 15 way adjustability has allowed me to make the ride firm and...
I shoot in the mid 80's. I have played since I was 12...I am now 21. I only play 3-4 times per year now but I used to play constantly. My brother is a professional golfer.
If you like the look of your current setup, buy a cat and resonator and be done with it. If not, buy one of the quieter systems but add the cat. I see no reason to not have a cat on a street car.
That is certainly one option and a smart one if one ever finds themselves in that situation. However, I think the aftermarket tow hook is a good idea since you don't need tools or to lie on the ground.
I hope you get a good answer in here. I will be adding a tow hook to the front of mine when I get a lip. I saw my car get pulled onto a flat bed and cringed the entire time. I didn't know the front bumper was so flexible...and it needed to be.
Just because it is a popular drag car, doesn't mean that the fox body Mustang is incapable on the track. A friend of mine runs Solo 2 in a Fox body and he wins his class...EVERY YEAR. He and his brother are each entered into the event and both run the same car. That thing is RELIABLE and very...
